{"id":101,"date":"2023-04-23T21:55:56","date_gmt":"2023-04-24T04:55:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marcocaoduro.com\/?page_id=101"},"modified":"2026-10-05T01:37:30","modified_gmt":"2026-10-05T08:37:30","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/marcocaoduro.com\/index.php\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ciao! <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m Marco Caoduro, a researcher working in graph theory, combinatorial optimization, and discrete geometry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am currently an ATER (temporary lecturer and researcher) at Universit\u00e9 Sorbonne Paris Nord, where I am a member of the Algorithms and Combinatorial Optimization (AOC) team at LIPN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before that, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the UBC Sauder School of Business in Vancouver, working with Joseph Paat and Bruce Shepherd. At UBC, my research lay at the interface of graph theory and integer programming, with a focus on hypergraph incidence matrices. During my time in Vancouver, I was also active in programs of the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS). I co-organized and participated in Math to Power Industry (M2PI), which pairs teams of young mathematicians with industry partners on real-world problems, and I supervised a team of undergraduate researchers in the Virtual Experimental Mathematics Lab (VXML).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I received my PhD from Universit\u00e9 Grenoble Alpes in 2022, under the supervision of Andr\u00e1s Seb\u0151 and Mat\u011bj Stehl\u00edk. During my PhD I became interested in the mathematical structure of geometric intersection graphs, which remains a central theme of my research.
